Work
For the group exhibition The Ghost Sings Here, Shinji Wakasa presented two sound installations in an abandoned house awaiting demolition. Both works approached sound not as a fixed composition, but as a fragile condition shaped by architecture, resonance, interruption, and external support.
On the second floor, Andsa and Casper explored the relation between body and memory through sound moving between two adjacent rooms. On the first floor, Dependent! used a rewound metronome and fragmented speech to create a work that could only continue through the listener’s intervention.
Together, the two installations turned the house into a site of unstable presence, dependency, and echo.
